History:

• Our Society was formed in 1989 when a group of citizens of Lake Country, BC who were concerned with the environment, came together.

• The Society was incorporated into a non-profit volunteer organization in 1991

Objectives:

• To increase public awareness and concern with environmental issues.

• To promote the care and preservation of the Earth's environment for future generations.

• To co-operate with and help promote the objectives of other like societies

• To encourage governments, industry and the public to adopt environmentally responsible practices.

Meetings:

Generally, the second Tuesday of the month at 11:00 AM in the Winfield Room at the District of Lake Country Administration Building, 10150 Bottom Wood Lake Rd., Winfield, BC.

We often invite speakers on environmentally relevant topics to address our group.
